Project outline
The “Cedynia” Copper Smelter is a modern rolling mill processing electrolytically refined copper into copper wire rods and oxygen-free copper products characterised by stable quality and meeting the strict requirements of the manufacturers of electric cables and wires as well as electrical and technical equipment.
The new technological line allows the manufacture of products of diversified applications and specifications. The Upcast technology increased the smelter's production capacity by 15000 tonnes of copper per year.
Greatest challenges
- Performing the works in untoward weather conditions
- Having a short period of time for the performance of works
Key moment
Installing the production line on the shop floor.
