We are experts in underground construction. For over 55 years we have been carrying out construction projects all over the world, specialising in mining, drilling, tunnelling and infrastructural activities.
Unique knowledge and experience
In the Polish copper ore mines, we have built a few dozen shafts and hundreds of kilometres of underground headings and drifts. We have built a few dozen of metro, rail, road and hydro-engineering tunnels on four continents.
We have unique know-how and technology, and expand them continually. Drawing on our rich past, we focus on the future and undertake the execution of the most challenging engineering tasks.
We take on the most difficult challenges
Contemporary civil engineers have to tackle increasingly difficult challenges such as erecting new facilities in the centres of vibrant cities, constructing tunnel crossings in remote locations, or building a complete mining infrastructure in the areas of newly discovered mineral deposits.
Solutions to many such problems can be provided by underground construction. We know this because of our 55 years’ experience acquired while boring hundreds of kilometres of tunnels, shafts, headings and drifts in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.
We incur business obligations based on the following:
Comprehensive character of contracting services
we construct not only individual facilities but also complete mines, industrial complexes or infrastructural projects;
State-of-the-art technological solutions
we own proprietary engineering technologies such as a rock mass freezing technology or a technology minimising the negative impact of detonation operations on the environment;
Safety at every stage of a construction project
despite executing our projects in extreme conditions, we work without any accidents and always implement the most demanding methods of ensuring safety at construction sites used in the mining sector.

The history of Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń PeBeKa is an example of “how the steel was tampered”. Fifty-five years have passed since the discovery of rich copper ore deposits in the Legnica-Głogów. Industrial District in the south-western part of Poland and the sinking of the first mine shaft.
During this period the enterprise developed its competences, carrying out ambitious construction engineering projects all over the world and becoming one of the most experienced companies in underground construction. Nowadays PeBeKa successfully carries out comprehensive construction projects related to mining or drilling operations and the construction of infrastructural or industrial facilities. We have come a long way.
Construction of the shaft complex together with transport logistics as part of the project entitled: change of the function of the L-VI shaft for material – downhill one.
Construction of a fuel chamber and heavy machinery chamber for the C3 branch in the KGHM O/ZG Lubin mine.
Preparation of TW359 drifts for the O/ZG Polkowice-Sieroszowice mine KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.
Completion of the project of hard rock mining using combine harvesters.
Completion of the reconstruction of the salt section in the SW-4 shaft at a depth of 1026-1182 meters.
the commencement of works on the drilling of the geological and reconnaissance S-759 borehole near the village of Kurzydłowice in the commune of Grębocice
the commencement of KRWP's first project: the drilling of reconnaissance boreholes in the Grodzieńska Basin near Bolesławiec
the commencement of works related to one of the most important public transport projects before the Euro 2012 football tournament, i.e. the building of the Lecha Housing Estate - Franowo tram line in Poznań
the commencement of works related to the construction of the thirty-first GG-1 shaft in the Copper Belt, in Kwielice near Grębocice
the commencement of works on the construction of a rail connection to the Okęcie airport and the modernisation of the rail line from the Warsaw city centre to the Okęcie airport
the commencement of works on the sinking of the SW-4 shaft
the commencement of the construction of the Zagłębie Lubin stadium
the commencement of the construction of the SW-4 shaft; the shaft is of strategic importance for the copper industry as it is to reach very deep copper ore deposits
