We are experts in underground construction. For over 55 years we have been carrying out construction projects all over the world, specialising in mining, drilling, tunnelling and infrastructural activities.
Unique knowledge and experience
In the Polish copper ore mines, we have built a few dozen shafts and hundreds of kilometres of underground headings and drifts. We have built a few dozen of metro, rail, road and hydro-engineering tunnels on four continents.
We have unique know-how and technology, and expand them continually. Drawing on our rich past, we focus on the future and undertake the execution of the most challenging engineering tasks.
We take on the most difficult challenges
Contemporary civil engineers have to tackle increasingly difficult challenges such as erecting new facilities in the centres of vibrant cities, constructing tunnel crossings in remote locations, or building a complete mining infrastructure in the areas of newly discovered mineral deposits.
Solutions to many such problems can be provided by underground construction. We know this because of our 55 years’ experience acquired while boring hundreds of kilometres of tunnels, shafts, headings and drifts in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.
We incur business obligations based on the following:
Comprehensive character of contracting services
we construct not only individual facilities but also complete mines, industrial complexes or infrastructural projects;
State-of-the-art technological solutions
we own proprietary engineering technologies such as a rock mass freezing technology or a technology minimising the negative impact of detonation operations on the environment;
Safety at every stage of a construction project
despite executing our projects in extreme conditions, we work without any accidents and always implement the most demanding methods of ensuring safety at construction sites used in the mining sector.
For many years we have undertaken the execution of the most difficult engineering projects, continually pushing the physical and technological limits of our operations. Our value is proved by people, our experience and clearly defined business objectives.
We are always ready for new challenges!

History
The history of Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń PeBeKa is an example of “how the steel was tampered”. Fifty-five years have passed since the discovery of rich copper ore deposits in the Legnica-Głogów. Industrial District in the south-western part of Poland and the sinking of the first mine shaft.
During this period the enterprise developed its competences, carrying out ambitious construction engineering projects all over the world and becoming one of the most experienced companies in underground construction. Nowadays PeBeKa successfully carries out comprehensive construction projects related to mining or drilling operations and the construction of infrastructural or industrial facilities. We have come a long way.
