Project outline

Copper ore enrichment is a process of mechanical treatment which allows the effective transformation of mined ore before its subsequent processing in a metallurgical plant. The technology used in the Ore Enrichment Plants owned by KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. allows an exceptionally effective recovery of copper, silver and other elements from mined rock.

The project carried out by PeBeKa resulted in the increased effectiveness of the Plants’ operations. All works were being performed during the normal operations of the ore enrichment installations; therefore, in order to shorten the project execution period, the decision was made to raise the existing roof structure by means of hydraulic cranes from the level of +13.23 m to the level of +15.83 m.
