The route to India is open
Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń PeBeKa S.A., a subsidiary of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., signed a memorandum of understanding paving the way for the implementation of projects in the area of mining and specialist construction in India. The Company’s new partner in the future project implementation is the company Gayatri Projects Limited from India.
On 28 November 2017, in New Delhi, India, the President of the Management Board of PeBeKa S.A. met with the representatives of the infrastructural company Gayatri Projects Limited to discuss the directions and scope of future cooperation. As a result of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed in which both parties declared their readiness to cooperate in such areas as comprehensive construction of mines and provision of specialist construction services. Cooperation in the field of air conditioning systems for mines was also discussed. The memorandum was signed by Mr Mirosław Skowron, President of the Management Board in PeBeKa S.A. in Lubin and Mr Shri. Rajiv Reddy, Vice President (Operation) in Gayatri Projects Limited.
Gayatri Projects Limited is well experienced in the implementation of large-scale underground mining projects; it is also the leading contractor of shaft sinking projects. It is one of the major companies specializing in infrastructural projects in India as well. It has conducted its business operations in such areas as infrastructural projects, general construction, irrigation and road construction for over 50 years.
For almost 60 years Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń PeBeKa S.A has been carrying out various construction projects all over the world, specializing in mining, drilling, tunnelling as well as infrastructural projects. The company has built hundreds of kilometres of road, rail and hydrotechnical tunnels, as well as shafts, and fore-shafts for various mining undertakings.
The signed document is the first step in the building of mutual business and economic relationships which will allow Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń PeBeKa S.A. to carry out mining construction projects together with the new partner in the territory of India.
