PeBeKa's construction nominated in prestigious competition
The Copper Health Centre in Legnica built by PeBeKa has been nominated in the international competition Copper in Architecture Awards.
This biennial European competition promotes modern buildings in which façades, roof coverings and/or other architectural components are made of copper or copper alloys. In addition to the use of copper architectural elements, such investments must also distinguish themselves with interesting, modern design.
The Legnice Cooper Health Centre, designed by the architectural design studio SPA Sadowski Sadowska of Poznań, is one of the 45 nominated projects and one of five buildings from Poland. The Health Centre finds itself among such famous investments as the Claude Debussy Conservatory building, Paris-Est Val de Marne University, futuristic ferry terminals of Stockholm or the Snæfellsstofa Visitor Centre merged into the Icelandic upland. The winners of the Copper in Architecture Awards are chosen by way of online voting on the website of the organiser - the European Copper Institute (EIM) in Wrocław.
The Copper Health Centre in ul. Okrzei, Legnica, provides medical inpatient and outpatient services for e.g employees of the KGHM Polska Miedź capital group companies, and for their families. PeBeKa started working on this investment in November 2012 having taken over the construction from the company Budus, and the Health Centre started accepting first patients on 1 October 2013.
