Another stage of drilling under Bolesławiec started

The first order of the drilling division for geological drillings under Bolesławiec is being performed as planned. On 18 February, employees of the Surface Drilling Work Management finished the work on the first borehole, while on 20 March drilling of the second out of three planned holes was started.

Drilling under Bolesławiec started on 1 December last year. The first W-I/6 hole reached a depth of 1447 metres. The samples and cores collected during the drilling will be examined for the non-ferrous metal content, including copper, silver and radioactive elements. This work is intended to collect detailed information about physical properties of the rocks and about hydrogeological conditions.

The first metres of another W-III/6 hole were drilled on 22 March and full-speed work has been underway since then. The second hole will be 1350 metres deep. It will be made in a way similar to the W-I/6 hole. Once this stage is complete, the rig team will make the third geological borehole, which is scheduled to take place by September this year.
