An opportunity for cooperation with China
The company Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń PeBeKa S.A. has signed a memorandum of understanding with one of the largest contractors of metallurgical engineering works and providers of operational services in China. The document paves the way for cooperation between Poland and China in the area of infrastructure construction projects.
On 13 May 2017 Beijing, China was the venue of a meeting during which the participants signed a memorandum of understanding constituting their declaration of willingness to cooperate on the execution of projects to be awarded under open book tendering procedures for the construction of roads, bridges, metro tunnels, etc. connected with the improvement of the urban building sector and infrastructural facilities in the territory of Poland. On the part of Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń PeBeKa S.A in Lubin, the signatory of the memorandum was Mr Mirosław Skowron, President of the Management Board.
The talks between PeBeKa and the Chinese company Metallurgical Corporation of China Limited MCC, a member of the group China Minmetals Corporation, which has been a commercial partner of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. for many years, concerned, among other things, the directions and scope of future cooperation. The signed document is the first step in the building of mutual business and economic relations which will allow Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń PeBeKa S.A. to execute construction projects together with the new partner in the territories of not only Poland and China but also other countries.
