Project outline
The task of the conveyor, as in most of such cases, is to shorten the ore weights and additionally to enable the yield from the newly explored areas of the O/ZG Rudna mine. The device without any major problems has been put into use in the contractual period and fully fulfills its functions.
Greatest challenges
In such large tasks, the biggest problem apart from technical ones is proper organization of work and proper coordination of our subcontractors and suppliers at particular stages of construction. Only the current monitoring and control of these processes and the current reporting of the progress of work for the investor allowed to return the facility at the agreed time.
Key moment
The key moment, which is almost always a big unknown: fastening of the newly constructed conveyor to the already existing mine network. All built-in automation, control and monitoring equipment must be compatible with each other and the conveyor's work should be fully visualized in the dispatching supervision system. This is important because the whole is part of the current KGHM philosophy, that is full automation of production processes under the slogan "Intelligent Mine”.
