Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń PeBeKa was responsible for the execution of the construction project and the development of the surroundings of the two-storey office building - pedestrian paved areas and green areas. Inside the building, the company used a number of ecological solutions such as a hot water tank powered by solar heat collectors located on the roof.

Project outline

The office building is to be the company's practical and representative headquarters combining administrative functions with manufacturing operations. The building has a glass façade with rounded corners. The wide staircase made of reinforced concrete constitutes the main structural element of the whole building. Inside the building, the contractor used also a number of ecological solutions such as a hot water tank powered by solar heat collectors located on the roof.

The ground floor holds a reception and three rooms: a programming office, a prototype office, and an employee break room. The rear part of the building is occupied by the production section consisting of a prefabrication room, warehouses, a garage, and a boiler room. The first floor accommodates a secretariat and management board offices.

Greatest challenges

The application of the inverted roof technology – basic insulation on reinforced concrete slabs, covered with 16 cm of extruded polystyrene, filtration layers and geotextile, and gravel as ballast.
