New directions in the development of PeBeKa

On 15 November 2017 the company Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń PeBeKa S.A., a subsidiary of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., acting in the capacity of the leader of the consortium with the companies Varia Tech Sp. z o.o. and Ekolog Sp. z o.o., entered into an agreement for “The construction of a peak-load boiler house in the Żerań CHP Plant” with the company PGNiG Termika S.A.

The construction of a water gas boiler house with the capacity of approximately 390 MWt together with auxiliary facilities will be carried out on an EPC basis. For PGNiG Termika S.A., this is a project of primary importance. For PeBeKa, it is just one of the elements of the strategy aimed at achieving market positions in the areas offering the company opportunities for utilizing its highly specialist competences in the performance of services under tight deadlines as well as strict organizational and legal requirements. On the basis of its unique know-how and technology, the company developed its competences, carrying out ambitious construction engineering projects all over the world and becoming one of the most experienced companies in infrastructural construction. Today PeBeKa is a successful contractor of comprehensive projects related to the construction of mining facilities, the drilling of boreholes or the preparation of industrial infrastructural facilities, mostly for its parent company KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.

Relying on its own resources as well as those of the other consortium members and subcontractors, PeBeKa will commence its operations related to the execution of the project as soon as possible in order to meet the deadline for the commissioning of the boiler house, i.e. 15 April 2020.

The value of the project amounts to 129 880 504.70 zlotys.

For almost 60 years Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń PeBeKa S.A has been carrying out various construction projects all over the world, specializing in mining, drilling, tunnelling as well as infrastructural projects. The company has built many kilometres of road, railway and hydro-engineer tunnels, mine shafts and pits for various purposes, as well as specialist underground and surface facilities. For PeBeKa, the execution of the aforementioned agreement constitutes its return to the domestic markets and soon, hopefully, to foreign markets as well.
